Location: London Ontario | What is you're regime for keeping your colts on the soundness track? No prior injuries or concerns but want to keep him as sound as I can with a busy summer of competing. He is 5 and eating free choice hay, only in a stall in bad weather, alfalfa pellets soaked with salt and CurOst Eq(not sure if we will continue this) with ground flax.
Previcox, Polygycan, etc?

ALL my horses get previcox day before, day of, and day after a run for general soreness, long hauls hard ground etc.. My vet supports this. For a young futurity aged horse, adequan is about as good as it gets!

Location: Where I am happiest | My second suggestion would be Legend on the weekends you compete. Other then that, just dont run his wheels off. Pick and choose where you go, dont put him on crappy ground, and dont do much drilling during the week. Mileage and trail rides to air his brain out. Also, even a week or 2 week break here and there goes a long ways to keeping them happy mentally. I came back to add, we have had great results with Platinum Performance CJ. Apple flavor seems to be the one of choice for our horses.

There is a similar product called ICHON. Yes, same ingredients as adequan but no, not the same. My vet says some of her clients have really good luck with it when adequan does their back order thing every so often.
