Yes, they've been using chemical weapons against their own people for a few days now. We didn't launch an air strike though, the Navy launched Cruise missiles at the air field that these chemical weapons are believed to have originated from. It's my understanding that the main reason we are now involved is because Syria has violated a treaty against chemical warfare set in place by the UN. They've been at war with themselves for 6 years or more now. |

Thanks for setting me straight; C said something about the air field they used and I just assumed it was an air strike. I haven't gone online to watch the video because I can just imagine what it's like. While we may have our many problems, I thank God we live in this great country. . . . |

| I think it was a very carefully thought out plan and well executed. Minimal if any loss of life too. On to the next airfield as far as I'm concerned. Assad needs to be hobbled enough so that the opposition can gain some ground. Unfortunately Isis is also a factor here.
