Jana is ok. Per a comment from Jana on FB: She ruptured a major vessel and bled out. Assuming when she slipped on the second barrel, ruputured something in her pelvis and she began to carry her hind leg and I was unable to stop her in the arena.She did not fall and carried me until she could. We lost her in the trailer. |

Yes, I think it was Danish. The same thing happened to the awesome Si Puede, freak accident in the saddling paddock, she died later in her stall. |

Jetta C Leo (nicknamed Cleo, if I remember right) was injured at the BFA one year (1996ish?). I remember she dismounted and they walked very slowly out of the arena. I also think I remember they got back to the stall and then ended up having the euthanize after a diagnosis was made. They did not lose Cleo as fast as Jana lost her horse. |
