My horse has a sensitive mouth, right now we're using a Jr. Cowhorse and its great for her, soft enough but still gets a good response. I'd like to use a bit with a rope nose band because I feel like it gives a little more control/collects her a bit. She is EXCITED about her job so I need that control but also need to keep it gentle. Recommendations? Can I alter my JCH to add a nose band? I haven't seen that... I haven't really looked into what to change to, this is my first time even asking because the JCH has worked so well compared to anything else, I just think that little bit of pressure on her nose would really help to collect and control her.
