What ya'll think? Day 345 - waxy tips this morning. Butt muscles squishy. Anxiety is killing me!

Baby Blaze arrive at 4:30am this morning (348 days). He is a spitting image of his Momma (a little less white overo on each side but it's there). We are very excited!!!

How exciting!! I hope you have a healthy foal soon!! I have no opinion on this, lol!! My mare did every thing totally different this year and it was her 4th foal. It was the first time I have ever had one go over a year!!

Better have a good conversation with her. She needs to know you're running out of days!

That way she can have the foal on the day you get back to work. LOL

I was wondering how you got this picture, did you lay under your mare for this shot?

My farm sitter who was a reproductive specialist at several breeding farms told me about the Foalwatch test and it has been a life saver for me.  I used it on my mare and one of my miniature donkeys and it nailed time of delivery within 12 hours.  I usually let my donkeys do their own thing but this one had prevoiusly lost 2 foals so I was able to get her put up and be there to help pull if needed.  She had a healthy baby about 8 hours after I took the test reading.

I've got one that is 357 today.  It is really frustrating.  She must be waiting for a snow storm.

My mare is on day 321.  I can't imagine having to wait as long as you guys.   Her bag doubled overnight so hope she is getting closer.  Hard knowing as she is a maiden mare.
