Location: CTX | I agree with the impact wrench!! A couple of month ago me and a friend were on the way back from a race weekend and she had a blowout. With the trailer aid (little ramp thingy) and her impact wrench we were back on the road in 10 minutes.
Talked to my husband about the impact wrench (we have the trailer aid already) and was thinking about getting the same one.... well... didn't get around to it, and of course a couple of weeks ago I had a blowout.... took me 35 minutes to get going again.... so the first thing I did the next day was order said impact wrench!!! Won't leave home without it again.
And for other emergencies that we can't fix ourselves I have USRIDER. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | When I hauled alone I had US Rider. They are excellent! I can and did change my own tires...but if you break down they will really help and handle trailer/truck when AAA often will not.
Now...I bring my husband. He's like having a Nascar pit crew along! He can change a tire so fast it's crazy. And being a diesel mechanic and a farrier...I don't know how I got so lucky. Add to that he is a wonderful man and looks great in wranglers.  |

Battery powered tools are available.
But we keep a 110v impact in the manger with an extension and just use the generartor if we need it

You can get battery powered ones. I have a dewalt we bought at Home Depot, I actually have two batteries for it, I make sure I charge them both every few weeks when hauling so I know for sure they are charged and I can also charge the battery with my generator is I needed to.

It is like $140 per year so just a little less than $12 per month. They have other perks like get a vet to a barrel race if your horse is sick. Lodging for your horse if your truck breaks down. You need to read the info.

Had this for years. I can change a flat too, but who in their right mind wants to change a flat in the middle of July in Texas heat? I am old and I really would like to procede to the barrel race rather than the hospital. |

Just for info sake
Most DeWalt chargers are also conditioners, so you can leave the battery plugged in all the time and it's ready to go. Also will help it last longer.
