The miracle of turning water into wine was according to John's Gospel , the first of Jesus' miracles. The story is familiar, yet there is much about it that is mysterious. It tells us a great deal about the mission of Jesus and also about His relationships with his family. The miracle of feeding the five thousand must have made a deep impression on the first believers , for it is one of the few miracles that was recorded in all four Gospels. To understand why it had such an influence, we need to recall tha the Jews of Jesus' day expected their Messiah to spread a great banquet for all Isarel to partake of. In a sense this miracle is both: a kind of preview of the messianic banquet and also the giving of the bread from heaven. The fact so many people followed Jesus such a distance on foot tells us there was already a deep spiritual hunger. People with a spiritual hunger are not a nuisance or an encumbrance , but an opportunity. Isaiah 43:1. When you pass through the waters. I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers , they will not sweep over you. Psalm 93:4 Mighter than the thunder of the great waters, mother than the breakers of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty. Jesus disciples would have known such passages by heart, and it must have strengthened their faith to know their Master was Lord. When the storms of life strike, don't lose faith. Today and the days ahead , resolve to respond to difficulties with TRUST, not doubt. For it is WITH God all things are possible Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You Amen Have a VERY BLESSEd SPIRITFILLED Tuesday ALL, God LOVES you!
