Location: Wyoming | I've read the other thread on Renew Gold but I'm looking at switching to another brand of feed and was looking into renew gold. They would also be on hay 24/7 turn out on grass half the day and get Exceed 6-way. Anyone else feed Renew Gold with Exceed? What else with it? |

Location: Central Texas | I have 7 horses, ages 4 -21, on Renew Gold. They are penned, since our pasture has some nasty bug, parasite, fungus or something that causes large vet bills and dead horses. With the Renew Gold, I feed beet pulp, Omega Horseshine and alfalfa and coastal hay I feed beet pulp for the Horsehine or meds to stick to, and hopefully to help clear out the sand, since our place is pure sugar sand. Sometimes I add some alfalfa pellets if I'm short on alfalfa hay. They get 15-20 lbs of hay a day, mostly alfalfa with coastal as a filler for boredom. I really like how the horses look and act on this program and have been feeding it for 3 years more or less. |

| I feed it with alfalfa ( more in the winter), 1/2 scoop of oats, turn out 24/7 except for weather. Mine have the same condition Marfan's horses have but luckily have responded to the vaccine and can graze. |

Location: Texas | RodeoMom and Marfan - are ya'll talking about the Equine Nasopharyngeal Cicatrix (pythiosis Insidiosi)? One of my horses has it too. I Suspect he has had it for a long time but just diagnosed within the last year. |

My horse is a really easy keeper so he only gets 8oz of RG and about a pound of oats. |

I do feed RG with Exceed 6-way. I feed T&A hay, and I mix in some of the seminole sweet feed the others are eatting with this guys renew gold and exceed. I feed about 2/3 RG, 1/3 sweet. I would highly consider oats but I have yet to find any of decent quality in my area. |

| I fed RG, alfalfa pellets, whole oats, and Timothy mix hay last year. With great results in performance and temperament. Last winter I switched him to a maintenance mixed feed (nutrena safechoice) and the 4 first trail rides I rode this year he was out of his mind hot. I've had him 4 springs now and usually the first ride is hot and then he settles. It took 4 rides. I immediately cut his grain until he had no grain and then about 3 weeks later put him back on RG slowly. He's now at 1 pound RG 2x a day and is riding sane. He still has the speed I ask him...(clocking 27 mpr the other day on a short sprint holding him back).
RG gives them the fuel they need but without the craziness of mixed feeds. I just started adding back in the aflafla and when I think he needs more I'll add in the whole oats. He's also on Equinesaver (love this supplement and so does he!). I learned my lesson and will be sticking with RG for my horse from now on. Highly recommend it! |

Location: Phoenix | I feed 1 lb RG (which if I remember correctly is 3 measuring cups) and then 1.5 cups of oats, Forco and Tight Joints Plus. He gets alfalfa and Bermuda hay. Psyllium is 7 days every month. |
