| My Horse's BOT saddle pad liner has really helped mine, plus the chiropractor, and a lot of walking. |

| Chiropractor helped me a ton as well as continuing yoga to extend my adjustments - good on you for already doing yoga! Making sure I was sitting properly in the car (that was my trigger since I drive 2.5 hrs a day) and eventually getting a vehicle that I didn't have to contort myself to drive. |

Location: Wyoming | I have terrible sciatic pain as well. Driving is what really gets me and of course I'm driving to rodeos constantly! What is the proper way to sit in a vehicle for this? Anything you guys do to relieve the pain while driving? |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Chiro, Massages, yoga, and walking. Don't sit with your legs crossed, don't sit with your legs under you. Keep a stool at your desk and prop up your feet so you aren't tempted to put your feet under you to relieve pressure. When mounting your horse, use a stool tall enough that you can shimmy on without straining to mount. When climbing into vehicles use a stool. My chiro gave me all those things to do and it helps a lot.
I bought a folding utility stool from the cleaning aisle at walmart to keep in all our trucks. I fold it and put it on the passenger side so I can get to it easier. Keeps me in line after adjustments longer if I follow everything my chiro told me to do. I can ususally go 2-3 weeks without an adjustment following all those instructions. |

I use a therapy ball but a tennis ball works also but the therapy ball you can make softer and then add more air as you get used to the firmness.
This exercise works great! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/338332990733220143/
And so does using a foam roller.

Agree. Gabipentin has helped mine more than pain pills. You have to get a script from the dr., but it will help put off surgery for a while. Mine got bad enough, I'm having surgery in a couple weeks. |

Location: Running my kids somewhere. | I had my left side fused almost 2 years ago. They told me the best I should hope for was 50-60% improvement. And that's what I got. Sitting at a desk all day and driving does get a little tricky. Have ice will travel! |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I tried yoga and massage and it helped for a short time. She finally talked me into acupuncture. That was 5 yrs ago. I had issues from 18 to 32 with it and I went in after having my 2nd son (because it was almost unbearable during my pregnancy) and 5 yrs later I still haven't had any issues. |

Location: Georgia | Exercise. I started going to the gym last July. I usually go 4-5 times a week. Mine wasnt constant pain but it used to flare up at least once a month and last for 1-3 days. Since I've started working out, I have maybe 2 episodes in the last year. It's been great. |

Location: Sapulpa, OK | Had surgery 4 weeks ago and they found bone chips that were pressing into my sciatic nerve. Would not have ever improved without the surgery. It was the most painful thing I have ever had. Several chips were removed and I am pain free! I had back epidural injections which kept my back in good shape until that chip worked it's way into the nerve.
?Some things are just not made better by exercise. Good luck!! There is just no words to explain how bad that pain can be. |
