I am currently still running my mare in a snaffle and she is doing ok, but I am.starting to need something a little stronger to stop her in the alley, and even sometimes at barrels to help her snap around at shows. In slow work, she stops on a dime and turns super nice, but shows can be a bit exciting lol. I also ride her in a very mild training curb sometimes for exca training and she does well in that also. I have this bit www.pleasantridge.ca/index.php/brittany-pozzi-lifter-series-three-piece-twisted-wire-snaffle-1.htm and its great. She is responsive at speeds and works ok in it, but its a bit too much bit for us. What would you guys recommend? Something between the snaffle and the pozzi, and has a bit more gag action she she feels the cue before getting full pressure.
