At the beginning of the year I let a young girl use my good horse because she needed a step up and could not afford one. Long story short they broke their contract in a multitude of ways, and neglected to feed my horse. I began getting phone calls from people telling me they had seen him a jackpots and he looked bad. I was sent a video that caught her running him with only bell boots, no leg protection. I have proof that she had boots as they where on her personal horses, but not used on my horse. I made several phone calls and she nor her mother would respond. That was the last straw and the horse was picked up. I live four hours away and go to college year round, full time. I let her borrow him because he was just sitting at my mothers house. I made a lot of mistakes, I trusted them, I did not check up on my horse like I should have. I am more than aware of that. When he was delivered to me he had been at my mothers for two weeks being fed and still was in poor shape. He was ribby, limping, and did not want to be caught. I've been around this horse his entire life. He had never taken a lame step and was always willing to be caught. I posted on facebook what I had let happen, how it was my fault, that I learned a huge lesson, and will never let it happen again. No names mentioned. The family threatened to sue me for slander insisting they could prove they had the horse at the time, and could prove my post was directed at them. The post was taken down, and now I have seen where they are still posting pictures of my horse. As recently as the 27th. Is it possible to report it to facebook and have them take the pictures down? Should I even try?

I know nothing about fb.but there are things that DONT NEED TO GO TO FACEBOOK.You siad yourself you made ALOT of mistakes. As long as you have learned from them, call a vet,get your horse better and move on.Can you delete them?Stop watching what they are posting and do not post anymore about the horse.Good luck.As far as your contract goes if you didn't take before and after photos and stuff to back up your contract INCLUDING alot of money, there's not much you can do.

Yes, do contact Facebook. Had a neighbor on FB slandering my family and in particular me. Screen shot the posts, sent them to FB, they were down that day. It's worth a shot.

You made mistakes but putting a post up on FB about it is no way to handle this situation. Get the horse to the vet find out why it's lame get him some groceries and give him some time off. Block the people on FB who borrowed the horse so they can't see you and you can't see them and from now on and go on living your life. You learned some lessons unfortunately the hard way but at least your horse is back safe.
