| Lavender is the only one I know of that actually has been tested, and it does in fact calm horses and humans. Dunno about dogs. Most of the oil hype is woo-woo, but they can smell nice and make you feel good, so have fun! | |

Hey, call me a hippie, BUTTTT- I love my oils. I use young living because they are the quality ones.
Deep relief- comes in a roller ball- amazing for muscle pain.
Peppermint- congestion, nausea, muscle aches, TOOTH PAIN
lemon grass- bug repelant, HAPPY MOOD
lavender- the obvious
Panaway- helps with bruising, literally takes the ache out of cuts, and burns, and bruises... smells like butt.
There are tons more, but these are the ones I keep and I believe in like I believe in sweet baby Jesus!!

| I have found a lot of info on mixtures and what they are for on Pinterest - but I'll bet if you looked on Google, there would be a lot of info there too! I had a difuser that I loved to run at night in the bedroom but I must have worn it out as it quit. Oils are the bomb! | |

| I love my oils. I use a combination of stress away, peace & calm, valor and lavendar (not all mixed together but on certain points at certain times). I have also used rescue remedy by bach's for calming. I always get the pet formula and it works amazing on man and beast !! | |

Those are most like likely NOT therapeutic quality oils, unfortunately. They are cosmetic and fragrance quality which means they are of low quality. Now and Acia are not therapeutic quality. I don't mean to sound preachy but I don't want you to buy something that isn't going to work. If you buy their peppermint and then buy peppermint essential oil from Young Living, Rocky Mountain Oils, Swiss Aromatics, Ananda, etc., you'll be able to tell a difference when you smell them. The lower quality oils will smell like peppermint candy and the higher quality will smell minty with out the sugary tones.

THIS!!! Most of the time when people tell me their oils didn't work I find out they've bought a $5 bottle somewhere and it was a fragrance oil. It has to be therapeutic grade to work, it has to be an ESSENTIAL oil to serve the correct purpose!

Location: Gainesville, TX | I am not one to think that EOs are going to cure cancer. They smell nice and some of the stronger ones in a mister/humidifier help me breathe slightly easier on days when my allergies are acting up. I enjoy lavender because it is a relaxing scent. I like it in lots of things. Some of the grocery store oils are fragrance oils but many of them are legitimate EOs too and can give you a start. Just check the label and they will tell you if they are in a carrier oil or a genuine essential oil and what method was used to extract them. You don't have to go broke to have a few that make you feel good or improve your mood.

Location: The best kept secret in TX | They're expensive becase of the quality. Most oils need carrier oils because of how concentrated they are. Like two drops in 5 gallons of water concentrated.... I usually place one large order per year of oils for my little one and sometimes I don't have to reorder the following year. I buy the large bottles by DoTerra. They are my favorite. I actually buy so many of them all at once that I get a discount by DoTerra for "selling" oils. LOL I don't sell them. But the discount is nice and keeps my account in good standing for next years order. I buy my roller bottles (ALWAYS BUY DARK AMBER, NEVER CLEAR BOTTLES) and my carrying cases from Amazon. I have a keychain I keep with me at all times that has mini roller bottles inside. Works great for when my little has a swollen joint, a skinned knee, or needs a little extra immune boost. I love them and have seen them work on my little girl. Her Pediatrician recommended them after her diagnosis.

Location: Northwest | My grandma is something of an oil expert, she's been into it for 30+ years and had gone to a ton of schooling etc for it. She made me a special blend that helps with my anxiety before runs and if my horses are a tick nervous I'll dab some on their nostrils. They immediately start licking their lips and let out big sighs. I don't think it would make a crazy horse calm but I do see a visible improvement on nervous horses.
