I guess that's what these stupid things are called?! They are the little black flying bugs attached at the tail end?? Any tricks to get rid of them?? We are SWARMED!! My house is covered, our vehicles are covered, heck- I am covered! I'm losing my mind. I've never seen them this bad.

That's them!!!! Ricky went nuts on the front porch with the vacuum this morning. Though wildly entertaining, it wasn't very efficient!

All I am going to say is wash them off your vehicle because they will ruin the paint. I have been going through the car was everyday. Don't turn on your windshield wipers either. Bad mistake

Ours left today

Didn't see a single one (or doubles either ) all day, and we had been overwhelmed with them for days. Hopefully they're done loving and moved on!!

We had those at our place last year. Of course it was a day we were having guests. We noticed them about an hour before company was supposed to arrive, and I sent my kids out with fly swatters to try and at least clear them away from the front porch area. They were gone by the end of the day. I had no idea what they were, and I can't imagine them being around for more than a day!

Love Bugs are terrible. They have seasons down here, about 1-2 weeks at the beginning of the summer and then another 1-2 weeks at the end of the summer. The cover everything, get in your face, in the house, cover the vehicles and my porches. Just thank God that they don't bite or sting!

We have an ex employee that still lives on the farm, and he told us that they blew up here with Harvey's winds from LA. He is originally from deeper in LA, and like you said, was telling us there was a "loving" season for them! Then they were gone.

I really don't think they need a facility, Ash They are quite content to breed ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. And don't care who watches!!!

Grrr....  I got in my truck yesterday to go to a barrel race and my hubs had driven it previously.  The windsheild was COVERED and he didn't wash it when he got home.  Of course I was running late and didn't look at until I was headed down the driveway.  That's a no-no around here!

Burning citronella candles just outside the house doors will help some.
