| I have a pair of Professional Choice boots for my gelding. He wears a medium. I use fronts only, as he hates back boots. Any time I use them, after a ride when I take them off, there is some dirt in them. I'm so annoyed! They fit him 100%, and I know how to put them on. I've been using polo's in the meantime, but I really want more protection. I don't have tons of money to keep trying different boots if they aren't going to work, but he needs something else.
Thanks! |

| I use flow boots on mine and never have dirt in them.
Not sure I'm thrilled with how they're holding up, but they never have dirt in them. I have a pair of iconoclast that I use at home sometimes and when I take them off I remember why I don't like them - full of dirt! |

Location: Northwest | Iconoclast would be my suggestion, I never have any dirt (for me Professional Choice are the worst for letting dirt in). |

| So with the flow boot, you use just a regular polo wrap over the boot, or one of their brand polo wraps?

Their brand of wraps as they are elastic, not regular polos.

I bought them this spring, I use them when I make runs, rarely at home anymore once I got the hang of wrapping them. Granted - we've rodeo'd hard and ran a lot more than some this summer.
This is my first pair so I wasn't sure what to expect. I feel like the bottom portion that wraps around the fetlock is wearing more than I expected it to. Certainly not unusable yet, but just have some wear on them. The wraps have held up well. |

| Hm..I might have to try them. I saw a brief video on Youtube about putting them on, and it didn't look like she was putting them on very tight, she started from the front, and wrapped like a polo wrap. Is this what you do? Any tips? I would be using them all the time.

Location: North Dakota | I love them! They are sized comparable to prof choice. If your horse wears a med in prof choice, go with a med in Relentless. Cons - when you first get them the velcro is stickier than crap, lol! |

Practice. You don't wrap the first layer very tight and then you get a good stretch and firm wrap down under the fetlock and then wrap tight all the way back up. Practice is the biggest part which is why I used them at home for a while when I first got them.
I think a lot of it with boots depends on the horse. Someone will be able to say they don't get dirt in every brand - like the gal above who recommended iconoclast, but I dump a ton of dirt out of my iconoclasts.
Boots come in 3 or 4 sizes and horses come in 1000's - bone size, thickness, height, so on so on. I feel like with flow boots I get a custom fit to the horse. If I can find a good deal on some pro choice I'd like to try them on mine just because he is fine boned and they are the least bulky, they might work great on him and trap half the arena on one of my bigger horses.
It's a lot of trial and error IMO. And money. That's why horses take all your money. |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I rarely have an dirt in the Classic Equine Legacies. They have held uop extremely well. I did a set of Iconoclast for a weekend, and i will say there was NO dirt in them whatsoever. They run small so you have to get a size up, but i can tell my horse likes them much better. just sucks they only come in black and white. Im not a fan of dying boots. |

| I'll swear by my RES boots. My gelding really sits and we were running in some deep sand, was worried so took them off and there wasn't any sand in his boots! I was pleasantly surprised. They aren't really thick either so it keeps their legs cool while protecting them. |

| Has anyone tried the dynamic edge sport boots? I'm not too impressed with my prof choice anymore.. I ordered a new pair recently and they just felt flimsy.. felt way different than an older pair I have. I have a pair of classic equine for the hinds but I rarely use them. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I like my Bar F splints. :) I have this pair: https://horseboots.com/collections/galloping-boots/products/galloping-boots-double-lock-leather My dad bought them new from a feed store in the 80s and hunter green was the only color on sale. They're very faded now but still look brand new on the inside and the velcro is still sticky. I use sport boot covers on them that are black so you can't see them. lol Best boot ever made. I don't know how they're still in business, you buy one pair and you're set for life. |

Any cons that you have noticed on your RES boots? How is the sizing compared to PC? Thank you! |
