I will make this short. A young lady was somehow hit by a bull while sitting on her horse at her high school rodeo. This was in the FtWorth area. She did not survive her injuries. Please say a prayer for the family of Lexie Liles and tell your kids that you love them everyday. You never know when there will not be a tomorrow.

Very sad, I read she was participating in steer undressing and her horse tripped and fell on her.
Prayers for her family.

Oh how awful---puts the "smaller" problems in life in perspective, doesn't it? Through some of the things that have gone on lately around here, I keep saying "my child is healthy and my family is good, so we're ok". When I hear about something like this, I want to grab my 6 ft, 19 year old son and hold him like I did when he was a baby. Prayers for this family

 There was no bull involved.
There has also been no official family update saying she has lost the battle... Someone correct me if I am wrong but there has been no post about a funeral, arrangements, or an obituary pulished. This girl is from my community and I have heard nothing about her passing....

I judged posted what I read on Facebook. Since my friends are pretty reliable I took it as the truth. I am sorry if I offended any one.

In the steer undecorating, the ribbon is sort of like a bow and glued to the steer's back.  It is the girls version of steer wrestling and can get very scarey and could be eliminated as far as I am concerned.  When my boys were in HS, the almost same thing happened when the steer cut in front of her horse, flipped and almost killed her.  She was in coma for a long time and with lots of PT she learned to walk and talk again and even rode her old horse some but it was a long, long haul.

I haven't seen an update in a while from anyone... I think the family has decided to not give many updates since her condition changes rapidly. Or at least that is what I've read on Family facebook pages.

Streakysocks: I don't think anyone was offended by your post, I personally was just trying to clear things up and I realize I came off as a bit snippy. I appologize for my tone.

Haven't had an update from Family since the 22nd. I have seen multiple posts from friends asking for continued prayers for her as she recovers.
She is still missing her traveling buddy "Stanley". He was with her at the rodeo in Saginaw TX but was lost in the commotion.  I've posted a picture of Stanley that's been circulating.
