Has anyone had experience with these saddles?  Tiany Schuster will be riding one at the NFR.

There was a thread about them on here not long ago, try doing a search- it should pull it up. I rode one of Tianyโ€™s and HATED it. You sit on it not in it, if that makes sense. It feels like the saddle on the horse in front of the grocery store!! They didnโ€™t fit my style at all!

I have heard that about these saddle's sitting more perched on horses back then sitting down on the horse. Works for Tiany but I dont want one, just not my style.

I may borrow one and see how they do. They are ugly (leather just looks better than synthetic material to me), but if they work, it might be worth a look.

Why would you want to ride a 3rd world country saddle made for smaller narrow framed horses.America has better leather and 4 different tree bars and gullets to accommodate the american horse. Not a fan of poor quality.

This was my issue with them. Those few extra pounds those saddles save you arenโ€™t worth my horses backs. I feel like horses work better when theyโ€™re comfortable!

I actually have 2! I do like mine but i will be honest... itโ€™s like you sit more โ€œon topโ€ of the saddle... if that makes any sense... my horses had no back soreness and it fit really well with any pad, but i didnโ€™t feel like i could sit down as good with it

I have posted on the other threads about mine. Firstly, mine sits unused on the saddle stand, bought it for a specific horse and regretfully lost the horse before ever using the saddle, so I can't comment about how they ride or fit on the horse. Mine is now an expensive dust collector taking up needed tack room space.

I can't say much about the quality, they are way overpriced for what you get but if you can sell them for that price and get people to buy them that's what business is about. Mine arrived with a lot of sloppy damage that it was shipped with, since it was custom (I selected different colors then the standard that is carried) nothing was done about it.

I will say, if for some reason you need a very light saddle then it certainly fits that need. There are riders out there that use them and love them for many reasons and that's great. A previous NFR world champion rode one to win the NFR so they must work for at least of the time.

That is because it is to narrow. The semi quarter horse bars fits this way because it is design for the smaller narrow like e Mustang , poa or Welch pony.

I don't see why people don't just get an Abetta. Cheap, light weight, and can't be any worse quality than one of those.

I tried one. I learned that I am not Brazilian. I also learned why great Brazilian riders are male. No one with a V jay jay needs that saddle. Horse didn’t like it either. I remember riding in my cousin’s nylon saddle  back in the day. At least that one didn’t hurt my bottom parts.

how do you keep from falling off? is it hard to stay balanced in? do the stirrups hung forward or straight donw? did you feel like you could ride aggressive in it or were concentrating on staying on?

I've been watching Tiany ride in that thing.  Not sure if it's sponsored or not, but that thing is flopping in the rear terribly.  I can't imagine how it's not hurting her horses back with that thin little PC pad either.
I wouldn't ride in one if you paid me to.  I know Fallon Taylor tried them, and as you can see, she is no longer on that bandwagon at all.  It lasted about a blink and she was over it.

I live and compete in Brazil. I don't use these saddles. However, there are two main makers, the one that Tiany uses and another brand that actually makes the saddles more like a leather saddle. I tried both and didn't like them for the way they set on my horse. BUT there are a lot of BIG horses here and these guy use these saddles and smoke some amazing runs. I also know that the majority of these people train in a leather saddle and the most popular leather saddle here in Brazil is pretty awesome.

Thats bc they require you to buy the saddle not just endorse it and get things for free. She's all about the swag and they ain't giving any out lol

They really keep your feet in front of you. It's a lil odd but not bad just different. It totally reminds me of the original caldwell's that said Mike and Talmadage Green on them, they were very light weight too. To me it rides like those saddles.

I been watching her more the last few rounds and noticed she never seems to kick. Looks like she is squeezing with her legs like riding bare back. Even on the run home she did not kick.
