Many of you who have attended Josey Clinics know the older lady who was always in the serpentine pattern in the back, Paula Muirhead. Paula lost her lengthy fight with cancer last night. I think Paula was the first person in this area to realize the importance of having your horse really broke when training one for Barrels. I can't tell you how much I have learned from her over the past 40 years of riding with her. She has made so many contributions to the Josey clinics over the years. We have had more fun competing together over the years than you can imagine. She will be greatly missed.

Omg she was one of the nicest ladies I was always in awe of her. I went down to her place one time and stayed the weekend I learned so much that weekend. She opened her home to us and treated us like family and she didn't know us from Adam. She will be missed.

Everything I know about true horsemanship, I learned from Paula. She was truly a horseman. Back in the good old days we has so much fun riding together and what a competitor. Always had a kind word for everyone. What funny stories I remember.

I would venture to say cancer has touched us all in some way. Such a waste of perfectly good lives.

I think I loved the stories the most. :
) She had a picture that showed her running knee deep or even deep in mud. I was just in awe of that picture something, looked like a lake and she was just hauling butt through it.
