I get the function of the therapeutic items. Hock wraps, quick wraps, sheets..... what I question is the working items specifically the exercise boots and the saddle pads. I was always taught you wanted these items to pull the heat and sweat away from the horse. But BOT keeps the horses body heat in. How is this a good thing while they are working? Thanks for any insight.

Iām not sure of the science but BOT relaxes muscles and increases circulation. My mare is never ridden without her under pad. Her back can get tight especially when she cycles. She loves hers!

I love the saddle pad liner mainly because it keeps my good saddle pads clean! But, the logic behind the therapy is increasing blood flow to the area and loosening up muscles/relaxing muscles.

My husband used the saddle pad liner on his pony horse and it really helped him during the cooler months, during the summer it just seemed to irritate the crap out of him. Of course he was saddled for 4-5 hours at a time while the races were going on, I don't think it would be a problem for short rides even if it was hot outside.

From what I understand, it reflects the body heat back to loosen up the muscles. I like to think of it as a constantly recharging heating pad :
) I sleep on my horses back pad after its been through the washer
(not dryer!
).. so much so that im investing in a mattress pad for myself. I usually have pretty bad kinks in my neck after I sleep.. but not when I have the BOT pad
