Location: Kansas | A couple weeks ago, Matt asked the question I'd been waiting for and he pulled out a beautiful engagement ring. We haven't really settled on a date but are looking at late May or early June so I don't have to change my name during the school year or the heat of rodeo season. LOL.
Anyway, I LOVE the ring he chose and want to show it off!

I couldn't decide what I wanted to do, hyphenate old and new, or just change to new.

Well, my last name is McGee, his is McKay and my first name also starts with M. Melanie McGee-McKay would just be way too much so I'll change those 3 letters and be done with it. The rodeo announcers should thank me - or call me the wrong last name LOL

That's the part I am dreading LOL.
We have agreed on a small outdoor wedding, probably at a friend's property near where we live, and then a larger reception likely at the same place. I am just not a big decorator or planner so things will likely be simple. If I have questions, I'll message you. :) |

Mostly. I think a friend of ours met him at the store to introduce him to the owner, who she knew, but he chose this ring while the ladies were looking at others. thank you!!
