I was interested in ADM or Buckeye’s ration balancers, but someone elsewhere mentioned Total Equine. Experiences? Before and after pics? Original or LNSC?

Buckeye...because it is made in a CLEAN mill for equines only.I wouldn't give ADM the time of day after they refused to tell the truth about their milling process .And I wouldn't use Tribute for the same reason.

Thank you! ADM is out. I had forgotten what happened a few years ago. How about Total Equine?

I fed it for awhile. The 2 young, unbroken horses did great on it. My barrel horse fell completely apart on it, to the point he lost his top line and when I called to see if I was doing something wrong inadvertently, they were less than helpful.

We bought it ..... horses would NOT eat it .....We had to finally mix it with another feed so they would eat it.  This was 5 or 6 years ago so I am not sure if the formula is the same now.

Have you considered feeding a extruded feed? I love Buckeye but it is not sold here. Muenster Milling extruded feeds are great. And they enhance digestion

Β I kept my main horse on it for years and he did well on it. I switched to Tribute Essential K and he's done just as well on it as he did the TE. The TE has a decent profile for hooves which is why I fed it.

IMO, costs too much for what it is. Alfalfa based, so why not add a few alfalfa pellets to your grain ration, whatever you choose.

I fed it and liked it. I’ve heard that it doesn’t work for everyone, tho.

It is easier for my old guy to digest since it's an extruded diet...and he has been doing well on it. We don't feed much grain at all to the other young ones so they get a bit as well. The main portion of their diet comes from quality forage. All in all I do like the TE.

Total Equine-I feed it and a lot of people here have switched to it. just got a new horse and he had to problem switching to it. eats it right up. my other horse had more dapples than usual last summer. you only feed 4 lbs a day and my horse held his weight. I will see how the new one does over the summer haul.

We feed Total Canine & our dog looks great has a nice hair coat, etc.
Won't feed the Total Equine as it has too much soy.

My horses looked good on it for a month or so and then totally fell apart on it. It was a no go for us.
