LOL, me too as I get older dont care about that ball droping. . Hope you, Nancy and Dijanne are staying warm on this New Years day, it's really cold here in my part of Texas and that's really rare for us..  |

Location: CTX | Just came in from another round of ice breaking.... Sure can't wait for the temps to get above freezing again....
We stayed up watching netflix, just paused 2 mins for the fleur the lis to drop (for some reason our local network showed La's New Years show... hehehe)
Then stayed up a bit longer to break ice and keep an eye on the horses. Our neighbors have been known to shoot a lot of fireworks, but I guess it was too cold for them also! They only shot off a couple of fire crackers earlier in the evening and then went back inside.
So, there is an upside to this freaky cold weather!! Yay!

Thats what I've been doing to make sure the ice is broke for the horses, goats and chickens, I'm with you cant wait for the temps to get higher and I really need some sun shine, just feels so blaaaaa with out sun shine.. Happy New year to you guys Mary and Linda may your New Year bring plenty of joy and Happyness this year  |

I told Sean that the neighbors must have been frozen cause this is the first year since they've lived beside us that there haven't been hours of fireworks and gun shots during the night on NYE. Didn't bother me or my dogs/horses one bit to not have that tradition! I sat up all night---not the least interested in the ball dropping but was engrossed in a good book and just had to sit up and finish it!! Sean was sweet enough to feed without me tonight since it's 11 WC out there with wind blowing like crazy. My poor old AR body ain't used to this!!!! Everyone is blanketed and has heat lamps and been fed. Except for me

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | It was so nice without all the fireworks and guns going off for once, I agree it must have been too cold for all the ding-dongs to be playing with fireworks and guns, yep the freezing cold does have its good points when needed.. |
