First time in a long time I’ve had a horse over 15 lol. He’s 17. So what’s your pick for supplements or grain?
Honestly im not a big grain fan. But I’m feeding him renew gold now.
He is a trail horse. A little ribby. No specific issues that I am aware of.

A good Sr feed. Then free choice minerals. Muenster Milling has a excellent Sr feed. Purina Sr is also a good choice

Make sure teeth are good, and since hes a little ribby I would just up his feed and hay.. Theres tons of supplements out there but I would just up his feed and hay first and go from there.

My 25 year old is an easy keeper so I canβt help in the weight department. He gets his teeth done every year and he gets about a half pound of oats and 1/4 cup of ground flax grain wise.

Dan's 39. He's on Purina Sr Active, beet pulp, and rice bran. My 23 year old is on the Active and beet pulp. And my whole herd gets Platinum CJ.
