I did it with my son. I never pumped much just rode when he was napping and made sure he was feed before I ran. Always had a bottle with me in case of emergency with I did have to use once. It is rather easy however your body does strange things. Lol .. My first run back i lost my stirrups and didn’t think anything of it went to second (20lbs heavier then normal) lose my balance and was all over the place literally turn the three and I blacked out. I never hit my head or anything I still swear it was my body protecting itself. I was out for a while and taken in the ambulance to hospital.. thank goodness I brought extra supply of milk with me! Good luck you can do it!

Kristin Weaver Brown was at a futurity and ran about 6 horses. I talked to her mother and she said not a problem. I was thinking tough lady.

This!!! Feeding is easy to manage- getting your groove back takes a little time! I’ve ran barrels and trained colts all my life and my first run back.... LAWD! I thought I was going SUPER fast- it turns out I just kinda breezed my horse through! I was just proud to have stayed in after not running for almost a year, but my husband found it very comical!
