Leather latigo, and off billet. Fleece cinch has been used, and mohair - same result.

Wow. I'm jealous. I'm in South Georgia and my horse isnt smooth like that. LOL
I have no clue. I wouldnt think a horse would be allergic to leather. No spots on the chest (from breastcollar) or bridle area? Did you use a different leather oil or something that maybe she could be allergic to? Are the marks on the opposite side as well? |

She has 3 blankets on, lol!
She is very thin skinned, I'm thinking it will happen regardless of what I use but man it's ugly and I don't know what to do to fix it! They are rub marks.

Yep, almost worse. Because of the friction I'm assuming. |

Just if anyone has had it happen before, and what they did to fix it? What is causing it beyond the billets, clearly I know they are what are actually rubbing her -but why? Is it the saddle pressure points? Is it just her being thinned skinned? Is there something I can do to fix it I haven't thought of?
I'm tapped out and hating saddles so been riding bareback mostly, but that won't help me run barrels lol! |

Yes! What do you think is causing it though? I just don't know what to look for different if that makes sense? Part of my thinks the skirt may be playing a factor, it's a Caldwell and she isn't a big bodied mare? |

You name it, I've tried them all I swear LOL ! I have used 7/8 and 3/4 5stars and then a 1/2inch Coats pad. All same results I'm finding. I threw a Coats on that is too wide for her, and a 1 inch pad. It doesn't seem to be rubbing as much but I also feel like I'm over padded and don't like that feeling. |

Do you have any pictures with your horse tacked up, that might help. |

Ditto, And maybe some pictures of the saddle without the to see the fit.
Are there 2 marks, one at the front Cinch and one at the rear? I think thatβs what Iβm seeing but the rear one is faint if itβs there? |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I was pregnant last summer so I don't have a lot of saddled pictures and I got the saddle later the fall before.
Here are some images, hopefully they help give you a better idea of what I'm dealing with?

Location: mi | are all the pads you tried felt or wool? maybe try a fleece pad? Not anything I would want to run in.... Yikes... but might be worth trying for a few work outs. |
