| Best place to get cheap frames with prescription lenses?
I use my insurance $$ to buy my contacts every year. I wear dailies and they usually have a pretty good rebate for buying the full year at once and then take my insurance allowance off.
Unfortunately I also need to update my glasses prescription this year - theyβre good enough to wear around home but I donβt like driving in them and I hate having to βwasteβ a set of contacts just to run to errands on the weekends. The frames at my optometrist are all designer and $$$$$$$.
Anyone have a favorite place for affordable frames that will put prescription lenses in? |

Location: fixin to change | I ordered from Zenni online. You can upload a picture of yourself and "try on" the glasses. You will need your prescription and the pupillary distance (PD) to order. I paid less than $50 for mine with priority shipping. I like the Zenni glasses better than Vera Bradley's that I ordered from the Optometrist. |

Location: Not where I should be... | Yup, Zenni was great! I love them, and I think they were only 40 something with some upgrades on the glass type. |

Location: Middle TN | Ditto on Zenni. I just got a pair from them last month. With all the lens upgrades for progressive prescription, stylish titanium frame and clips for only $129.00... Priced similar at pearl vision with insurance was over $800. Will be dropping my vision insurance as soon as I can. I'm looking at a pair just for the barn for only $42.00

Location: Louisiana | I haven't ordered from Zenni yet, but I am after my next eye appt!! I'm like you, I use my insurance to pay for contacts bc that's what I wear 90% of the time, but I still want cute glasses.

Location: Kansas | Definitely zenni optical. I went to my eye doctor january 22 for my annual, and my eyes were bad. So I went ahead and ordered a pair through them.....after insurance it was still $150 out of pocket for my glasses. Zenni was $20 for the same prescription UGH |

| I order my glasses and contacts from vision direct UK. Iβve always had fast shipping and received the exact products ordered. The nice thing is they donβt require you to have a current prescription. They do accept PayPal as well! |

Location: Montana | Do you have an Eyemart there? I was able to get 2 pair on glasses (prescription) for $40 on sale at Eyemart. They aren't my first pic of frames, but one of them looks really good on me, the other one okay. I wear monthly contact lenses, but I still need glasses if I get up in the middle of the night to take the dog out or after I take my contacts out at night. |

I have been carrying my script in my purse so that I can go to eyemart. I'm wanting to get some cheaper ones to wear around the barn and stuff. Mine from eye doctor were way to expensive to wear out cleaning the barn and wrestling/playing with the dogs. |

| I have thought about Zenni but how do you get the glasses fitted then? I guess take them to your eye doctor?

| My sister orders from Zenni all the time. I have to try them as I need an extra pair for a trip out of the country. I don't have my PD ... anyone know how to measure?

When I didn't have insurance I ordered contacts from them as well. All I needed was the info off my old box. |

Goody! Same here, I don't hardly ever wear my glasses anywhere "out" so I didn't figure I needed anything to expensive, but I did need to update my glasses prescription. I don't think I could legally drive in my old ones. |

Location: Kansas | I have used AC Lens online. Very inexpensive and usually you can go to any Walmart vision center and get your PD and get them fitted. Walmart owns them. |
