| I have a project I'm going to start working on around here while my son is gone to keep my head from swirling too much! I decided I need to repaint my barrels, metal drums.. they are in pretty rough shape! Rusted out. I'm thinking of going orange (for Jacob) what's the best type of paint to do this.. just cheap paint? Spray paint? Rustoleum? TIA! |

Location: N Texas | Your two best options for something that large are a can of paint and roller or spray paint. Rustoleum is my favorite, and you either want to use a primer under your paint, or get a paint + primer (two-in-one). You have to do a minimum of two thin coats. Your first coat may not provide 100% coverage, but that's ok. It's better to have multiple thin coats than one thick coat because the paint will run and won't look good.
For something that large, it will probably take 2-3 cans of spray paint per barrel, which can get pricey, so a can and roller may be a better option. |

Location: LA Lower Alabama | If they are rustythen rub them down good with sand paper and find the rust stopper to spray on them. Then for something like barrels I would use the prime and paint combo because it isn't too important. I prefer to prime then paint for good projects though so it depends on how quickly you want to be done. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I redid my barrels too, painted them green and then Hubby had some decals made for them with my brand and put them on my barrels looks really cool. I think getting #JacobStrong in decals would be pretty cool looking on your barrels too. |

| I painted my barrels once. They were just a blue plastic barrels. I painted them red, white and then left the blue. Up and down streaks on the barrels. Fist time I took the horses to the arena to practice after I painted them I thought I was going to get bucked off. Never heard so much snorting!! I guess it was different from the last time I had taken them to the arena. LOL |

Yes I love that idea! I know a decal guy too. This is a project that needs to last me 5 days, that's how long they'll be gone. :-(
Thank you everyone for the suggestions! |

My horses will probably do the same! A strange new monster in the arena! |
