After the thaw and refreeze this January we decided we were tired of dealing with gates stuck in the mud, or frozen in the mud. We found a good deal on pipe and used our tax refund to rebuild all of our gateways. Previously we had them hung on hedgeposts which had started to sag etc. it looks so nice! And it’s so nice to have gates that swing freely both ways!!!!

We avoided that again successfully this year. If we win β€œtoo much” we do a pre-tax planning meeting with our CPA in the early fall to see where we sit.

We probably would have done this either way no more than it cost. The refund coming in just made it happen quicker.

I have them take huge taxes out of my pay checks so I hopefully won't have to pay at the end. lol But I sold couple of nice horses this year , even bought one, but my young horse won a bunch and that hurt me. Atleast the IRS knows horses and competing is NOT a hobby at this point. LOL
