Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | Anyone use this? opinions? My vet was out this weekend to do yearly shots and also did a lameness/flexion test on my main mount. Said hes not flexing positive for any lameness but he wasnt a fan of it in his right hind end. I had hock injections done July 2017, and he hasnt taken a lame step in his life, but i want to keep him on something as we do work and run hard during our season. He's currently on the Actiflex for joints, but my vet recommend the equithrive as its supposed to extend the life of the injections. I havent been able to find any "real" opinions on it. My guy is also SUPER picky and i just dont want to spend the $100 for him to not eat it. I used to feed the DAC yucca and it seems to help extremely well as far as inflammation/soreness/stocking up goes, but i want something for the actual joint and muscles. Any other joint recommendations are welcome as well! thanks (: |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | I have one on it and since it definitely seems to help him move more freely...I'm starting another one on it that is coming off an injury. They eat it very well. It has a grain/feed type smell and not at all "medicine" like. |

Location: Middle TN | I tried it on my vets recommendation as well. Did not see any improvement and certainly didn't see $132 worth of value. I've gotten better results by removing pounds a day of processed feeds and focused on good hay or pasture and just feed alfalfa pellets, cubes and Renew Gold with regular Platinum Performance. |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I saw they have the option for a molasses flavored so i figured he would be a little more tempted to eat it, and they are currently running a sale so it would be around $60 for the first bucket which i dont think is too bad, but wanna make sure its worth it. He's so picky about everything he eats, if its not alfalfa based/flavored i have a heck of a time getting him to eat it. Already have to wet his grain for him to eat his other supplement. |

Location: Illinois | I did a 90 day trial of it, my Exceed 6-Way works better so I went back to it. Didn't seem to help him as much, he was touchy with his hocks. He would be 3 legged for 5 minutes after the farrier was done with a back leg. He doesn't have that issue with the Exceed, he's fine. So I quit using it. I wouldn't totally write it off, just didn't work for him. Might try it in the future on another horse if the need arises though. |
