Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I swear i have THE pickiest eater EVER. If its not alfalfa based he will not eat it. Im having such a hard time getting him to eat his dry supplement. Ive tried wetting the grain, he sifts through it and will leave it, along with grain at the bottom. I had success when i was feeding DAC oil because it was stickier but he doesnt need that added fat. Im not using molasses as he doesnt need the sugar. Im stuck, somebody give me something thats worked! PLEASE lol  |

| I have one just like that. I use Stomach Treat which is Papaya Purée. 60 ccs either on feed or by syringe |

Location: North Dakota | I don't think adding one pump of oil is going to be the make or break of his weight. If that is what gets him to eat his supplement then I would give him the one pump of oil. |

| I've had good luck with soaked beet pulp. If the supplement is really potent/strong smelling or they seem to be particularly picky about it I'll add it to the dry pellets in the morning when I add hot water and let it all soak together for the day. |

| What sort of supplements are you feeding? Is it the powdered stuff he doesn't eat? Is it pellets?
Mine won't eat powdered stuff. I have to get all of mine in pellet form, which mixes in with their food pretty well. |

He literally gets fat on air. So unfortunatly for him, two pumps a day since he gets them AM and PM will make him gain. lol |

Location: North Dakota | so, why does he need the supplements? What are you giving, maybe we can help figure out an alternative. (p.s my horse won't eat it if he's feeling poor, so depending on what is going on there may be an underlying issue you're not seeing-especially breathing issues) |

My gelding dont like the powered either, having a hard time right now with this problem and he really needs it, so when the powder is gone going to go back to getting the pelleted supplements, the pelleted mixes better with the feed I'm feeding him and his feed is a dry feed so the powder just sifts threw his feed to the bottom of his feed bucket and he leaves it  . |

Im feeding the DAC total performance and its powered. He eats his actiflex which is powered but its alfalfa based to he cleans that up and he eats his outlast right up which is pelleted. The only thing i have issue with is the TP and they dont offer it in pellet form. Even if they did i dont think he would eat it. He sifted right through the cool gut and its pelleted. Hes ridiculous! |

The only one he isnt eating is the DAC total performance and its powered. Its an all around supplement. Hes eating everything else. Hes in good healthy shape and feeling good, Vet was just out last week and everything checked out. Its literally just him being picky. He does it with all dry supplements unless its alfalfa based. |

Location: North Dakota | I feed woody's bloom n groom or manna pro sho glo. BUT there's all kinds-maybe looking on state line tack at their vitamin and mineral supplements you can find one that is comparable to the DAC?? But in a pelleted form.

ETA: Plus, every horse I've had loves the taste of it. It even masks the awful taste of MSM, which I always have trouble getting new horses to eat.

LOL ive tried this too. It worked a little better than just plain water but he still leaves majority of the supplement behind. He does like the AV juice though! haha |

| I had good luck with just grass pellets or alfalfa/grass pellets. Add powders and add water stir and feed. I feed renew gold with it though but even without they seem to like it |

no i havent! i just had a friend suggest applesauce so im going to try that first and then if that doesnt work ill go for the honey! plus i heard its good for minor aches! |

| I use applesauce to give powdered butte or any other tablet medicine. Crush it up and mix it in applesauce, and stick it in their mouth with a syringe. Plus it makes them good to worm because they think they're getting a treat! |
