What are some good Hacks for overly sensitive horse? Shes so light to a bit, I think she would work better in a hack but besides a Jim Warner I'm not sure what kinds to try.

Stivers short shank and an S hack in ropes noses with short shanks are mild. Some ppl cut the rope and put mule tape making it even softer...that would be for something crazy light.

I would start with the little s, fun fact, lower on the nose with looser chin chain/strap=more bend, higher on the nose with tighter chin chain/strap=more whoa.  I have an ugly hack that ends up on almost all my horses at one point or another-but they are almost impossible to find OR afford anymore (mine is probably 25 years old) I've also really liked the carls hack that l and w makes.  If the horse is that sensitive you may want to talk to Ronnie Clampitt about his hand crafted hacks-he builds to suite the horse, plus he's fun to talk to.

I had decent luck with a Jim Warner that I wrapped the noseband in vetwrap.

Nice! Thanks for that info, my mare def does not need more bend!

A Hodges chain mouth works really well for a sensitive horse.

Question for those that went to a hack, WHEN did you do the transition ? I've ridden in one around home, really want to make a run in it next but don't want to waste a $30 entry fee if it goes south! Or is it best to exhibition? I never exhibition my seasoned horse, but really want to try a hack, just too chicken at a show

I'd make the run at home or somebody else's arena, then see how it handles at a show.

Is an Ed Wright swivel hack for a sensitive horse?  I'm trying to figure out hacks as well for a sensitive horse.

I'm a hackamore kinda girl. Own a ton of them but by far my favorites are from Ronny Clampitt. He will build one to suit your horse and will help you use it :
