i sold a trailer to a gal in canada sight unseen. I arranged for it to go to a trailer dealership for an inspection and then it stayed there until I got paid and then a shipper picked it up. both parties felt very comfortable with the go between and they did fnot charge very much for the service I think $150 paid by the buyer over phone with credit card

I was just going to say that that could be a nightmare but you seemed to handle it very efficiently and safely for buyer and seller.

We sold one out of state, he did not ask for an inspection, he wired the money to us  and had a hauler pick it up, all went smoothly.   We turned arond and bought one several states away, no inspection, wired the money to them and picked it up ourselves.   Trailer was just as represented and in great shape although I was a little nervous on the 20 drive up there, lol.

I live in ND and bought my trailer sight unseen from a private seller in south TX. I talked to her several times, got extra pictures, etc. I never had a bad gut feeling about anything she told me about the trailer and felt confident in my purchase. I happened to have a friend going to TX to pick up her new pickup, so paid her to haul the trailer back for me and wired the seller the money. I also paid an RV place to winterize the trailer before it made the trip north as it was January when I purchased it.

Yep. In January I bought a little 2H sight unseen and had them deliver it. It was from a dealer. He sent me a bunch of pics plus I called and talked to him about. The trailer was exactly as he said it was. The dealer delivered it to me for an additional fee.

Bought a used one last year from a private seller - the dealership they had bought it from was who initially had it advertised & then referred me to the owner. They were close to 2000 miles away. I did do a loan for it so the bank sent the check with both our names on it for protection and when we got there to pick it up, we both signed it. All went great.
There are a lot of places that will haul one for you, but they usually aren't cheap - was cheaper in the long run for us to go after it & do a mini vacation at the same time.
