Certainly get more than one opinion. A vet wanted to put my mare down for a small fracture
(not a full on break for sure
) got a second opinion and we were back to racing again in 3 months. No, it wasn't an easy road to recovery - had to fully wrap her front leg every 3 days for a month and keep her stalled.
Prayers for recovery!

RE: Trauma fracture
It will heal fine. As long as it’s non-articular they are able to heal well and be sound. One of my best horses had a coffin bone fracture in his left front. He had a long career. I hope this helps.

What treatment did you do? They arenβt recommending putting him down itβs just a small fracture of the tip at the end
