Im a newbie with giving previcox to a horse. I have tablets, not sure the best way to administer it. Do I crush it up in his grain? |

Yes, this is what I do. |

Location: Illinois | I just put the pill in my hand with a little grain & feed it. Or another girl at my barn punches a hole in a baby carrot with a screwdriver, shoves the pill inside, & gives it to the horse. Seems to work well that way too. I don't have a problem getting mine to eat it |

Just make sure you know which size pill your giving. Previcox/Equioxx comes in a 57mg pill and a 227mg. The 227's you give a 1/4 pill. The 57's you give the whole pill. Mine eat it willingly out of my hand with a handful of whole oats. I have also crushed and put on feed as well. Seems to work just as good. |

| I cut a little notch in an apple quarter and fed it. My friend feeds it in a little handful of grain. |

| I dissolve it in a little cup of water and then put it on top of the Platnium and grain. |

Location: TN | The horse I gave it to tended to drop feed so I didn't trust putting it on his feed. I would push it in a soft Probios treat and feed it to him by hand to make sure he swallowed it. |

| I hand feed it out of a bucket with a tiny bit of grain so I know they get it. It is so small I worry if I just toss it in their grain it may get lost, so I hand feed to make certain they get it. Greatest thing ever! |

Location: North Dakota | I don't crush it. I just feed the pill in a little bit of Omolene 200. I put it in a small bucket, and then watch my horse eat it to make sure he eats it. Piece of cake. |
