| My step-son is leaving to hike the Colorado Trail this Sunday, I'm wondering if his hike will be cut short due to the fires. I can't imagine how scary that would be around those fires we need rain in the central states SO bad!
Prayers for all our board buddies close to the fires! |

| Burning all around us but we are good. It is so dry! We only received 60% of our normal snowpack and we haven't had any rain since late April. My two Aunts and a cousin evacuated last week, not sure when they'll be allowed to return. The 416 fire, the fire that is effecting them, is 34 miles wide and only 15% contained. We are suppose to get rain on Sunday and I am already doing my rain dance!!!! |

Location: Durango CO | I live in Durango where the big fire is. They have estimated full containment by the end of July. The owner of the company Easy Care lives close to the fire but has not been evacuated yet. The iniitial fear and shock has pretty much worn off and everyone seems to be trying to live as normal of a life as they can. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. |

I thought there was a wildfire going on in Utah also and I think in Arizona theres a problem with wildfires too, I need to go see the map, we are getting so darn dry here to and worry about this, we had fires going on about 6 or 7 years ago because of all the dry under brush, that is why I try to keep my pastures shredded around the house, a fire is always in the back of my mind. Hope that you and all your loved one's 4 legged and human stay safe. |

| Luckily we are ok where we are. The fire is up a canyon one county over from where I live. However the smoke and ash are blowing our way. Canβt even be outside without getting covered in ash. Smoke makes me cough and is giving me bad headaches. Hopefully they are able to get it out soon. Iβm so thankful to the firefighters who risk their lives.

Well I found out where all the smoke was coming from, it was 2 and 1/2 hours from us they were doing a control burn on some marsh land around Rockport Texas. Good night it was like almost in my backyard with all the smoke, I had neighbors calling me and asking if I knew where the fire was, finally the Sheriffs office call and told us it was a control burn, they were ever looking for the fire too, lol.. |

| We got some much needed rain last night out here on the northeast plains. Golf ball sized hail too. We had about 5 grass fires in the past 2 weeks. I know they had a fire up around Silverthorne, but it was contained very quickly. We were up in the mountains 2 weeks ago and it was unbelievably hot! Weβre talking 80 degrees in June at 9,000 feet. Thatβs unheard of!!! The sun is way more intense at those higher elevations. You can literally feel it burn your skin. I now live at 3,500 feet and even when itβs 100 degrees here, you donβt feel the intensity that you do up high. |

| We got some rain but not enough to change conditions. I'm at 7k feet and it's hot, 85 - 90, we usually don't see temps like that until late July early August and our ponds are at least 4ft down. They weren't that low all last year! The closest fire to us has been contained. The 416 Fire is at 35% contained, the rain they got helped. Buffalo Fire near Silverthorne is 95% contained.
We need more rain for sure! Some people on the south side of the river got notice that they only have 2 more weeks of irrigation water, scary! We get 3 cuttings usually and we'll be lucky to see 2 this year! |
