So my mare loves to stand in the pond but it causes her hoof to get soft and she pulled her shoe 2 times during this 6 weeks between shoeing. This last time she took a bunch of hoof with it and my farrier did what he could to put the shoe back on but she is very sore on her front right. I have a big 2 day race this weekend and shes not bad enough to completely draw out but I want help her. I will run her on bute and dex but wondered if there is something I can soak her foot or put on it to help her. She is not 3 legged but you can tell she is sore. The farrier came back out yesterday to make sure she didnt have a close nail or something. I moved her to a different pasture to eliminate the problem.
Any suggestions?

I would get some durasole and start using it religiously. You might even get an easy boot or some type of hoof boot to keep her in for now. I would be concerned with her stomping flies and making it worse.

You could try sole freeze.
