Does anyone have experience with a horse that creates and crackles in the back end if so what did you find that it means or what exactly is it in my experience it's always been harmless but I still don't know what it actually is I'm hearing

My Audie Murph does it. I'd say his snapping and popping started when he was about 3. I have mentioned it to several vets along the way and none have ever felt it was an issue. He is 7 this year and better than ever.

My gelding "pops". I've mentioned it to several vets and they say its just like us cracking our knuckles. Nothing to worry about unless your horse is lame obviously. My horse is as sound as they come & has never had a single injection.

yep like air in the joint is what I was told. I googled it and read everything I could find about it when I was a worried mess about him. Most everything I read gave me no reason to worry.
