| I think they are probably very good but often location is a problem. I will tell you that area affected by the cancer and how early it is diagnosed are critical in the treatment. My husband was treated by Texas Oncology which has treatment centers all over TX. I was pleased with what they did. I know that did not answer your question but there are other options. If someone is bad, better head for MD ANDERSON in Houston or ST JUDE. Those two are the best with out comparison. |

| My sister is a patient coordinator at MD Anderson for the one in Arizona, and my dad was a patient there. It is incredible. The doctors are amazing. You get a team of doctors and nurses. I would highly recommend them at either location. |

| For breast cancer genome therapy and genetic testing are important and i know cancer treatment centers do that. however, call ahead and make sure about insurance, they won't take medicare patients and you better have cash when you walk in, they are wonderful people to talk to and explain everything well.
good luck, god speed and hopefully god will guide the hands and minds of whoever treats her.

| First of all I would see who your Dr recommends. They deal with this regularly. They know the best options for treatment that work best for the patient.
Not trying to make light of a serious situation but attitude and family support are critical to getting well.
I lady that worked with me was diagnosed with liver cancer. This was the SECOND cancer diagnosis. All of us at school were thinking that this was it for her. She had 6 kids, who were all really good kids but I think the whole family was a little crazy. She went to Dallas for surgery and had a part of her liver removed. Her crazy kids put up signs along the road like BURMA SHAVE SIGNS. They said....
Mother was so sick
It made us shiver
But she's doing fine
With half her liver.
She actually got well faster than any of at school could have imagined, amazing. I guess everyone needs a wacko family that loves you.
Again a positive attitude and family support certainly help you get well faster

| She wouldn't be disappointed in MD Anderson. Super organized with great team. My sister in law went there for her breast cancer. They were very pleased. I too have wondered about cancer treatment centers but just don't know anyone that has been. |

This does happen for sure. Have a barrel racing friend who said she did not get the best of treatment and SHE IS A NURSE. I would look into Cancer treatment centers and see what kind of insurance they take. Hospitals often have money they want up front BUT they generally have some kind of payment plan. They can't turn you away. |

Location: In a happy place | Tia took her mother there and had nothing but kind things to say about it. But her mother didn't have breast cancer. My lymphedema therapist used to work for MD Anderson and she swears it is the best place for breast cancer. |

| No doubt that MD ANDERSON is the best. A lot of times proximity is an issue and when you live very far away from Houston it might be necessary to use the best that is the closest. I do know many people who have gone to MD ANDERSON to begin with and MD ANDERSON worked with a local clinic for treatment. |

One of my friends did this. He went to Houston periodically, but his doctors there worked with a local doctor/hospital for certain treatments. |

| I was very disappointed with them. It was all about marketing and the almighty dollar. We had excellent insurance and they said it wasnβt good enough. They wouldnβt even consider taking my husband. Itβs all about money with them (at least that was my experience). |
