I hate cooking and cleaning Posts: 3310 Location: Jersey Girl	I have the same issue and I am always mindful of my hand position and keep it touching the neck when practicing drills or any kind of turn really.

Posts: 11493 Location: 31 lengths farms	One of the things that seemed to help the most at the Ed Wright clinics was when he started putting a rubber band in the horses mane about midway up the neck, kind of like a messy bun so it stood up and you had a visual of where he wanted your hand to be.

Expert Posts: 1515 Location: Illinois	I'm a little different and pull to my pocket, but what has worked best for me in the past is to just think about pulling to my pocket the whole way. I've found that kicking & sitting where I need to are automatic, I don't need to think about them. So I can just run up to the barrel thinking "pocket,hand,pocket,hand" the whole way and it works. Usually after a few runs I can stop focusing on that & worry about other things
