Lewis Orrell, a former cutting horse trainer from our area, is having open heart surgery in the morning. The surgery was originally scheduled for Friday, but he had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital today, so they have moved it to early in the morning. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. His daddy, Jimmy Orrell (NCHA Hall of Fame member), has also been under the weather lately, so I appreciate all the prayers you can give for this family; they're truly good folks.

He is 64 I believe. He said he thought he was doing A-ok til weekend before last when he was at the barn and started hurting in his jaw/upper neck. I think because of so many blockages they were afraid there could be considerable damage.

Doing good, hes says its so strange to have someone elses heart beating in your chest. Its just amazing how something like this works, I know that God lead a helping hand in this, but Doctors are amazing humans  and to think someone on this board thinks Doctors are at the bottom of their class, he needs to think really hard on his way of thinking, lol..

Prayers are always welcome!!

He was up in a chair by 7 this morning. I haven't checked in this afternoon, but figure the hallway walks have either started or are about to!!

My family has heart issues on both sides, so I'm thankful for all the doctors the good Lord has placed in our path over the years. I'm guessing they must not have been the bottom part of the class
