so southwestern is allowing cats dogs and mini poines to fly as service animals    i sure as hell don/t want to be sitting next to a pony when he poops or pees on an airplane

i don/t think that any dog cat or pony should be allowed on an airplane except seeing eye dog

That is not a good thing on the minis.
However, there are many kinds of Service Animals...seeing eye, seizure, stability / balance, PTSD detection and dogs that help a wheelchair bound person just to name a few.  Not all who have true Service Animals are for a sight issue.

I see a TREMENDOUS amount of people who abuse this policy more than actually need it. From what I understand you can get just about any animal to be " Certified" as an " Emotional support animal" over the internet. I see people all the time in restaurants, buffets, etc with your common household poodle as an " EMotional support animal". Most on welfare. LOL

I totally agree.  The issue with Emotional Support animals is that most "owners" think they are a Service Animal and that is not true.  Thus they do not have the ADA to hide behind for access to most public places.  The fake online registries are just that FAKE.
I wish there was someone to enlighten businesses that there is no "certified" training and no "registration", for a Service Animal.  Businesses need to stand up and hold the fake dog / handlers accountable.  They are allowed by law to ask two questions:  1) Is that a service animal and 2) What service does it provide.  If they answer just "keeps me calm" that's a no go.  Many think Therapy dogs are also service animals and they are not...they are Therapy dogs that provide comfort to many and also do not have to be allowed in most public places, unless requested such as a nursing home, school, disaster stress situation to mitigate for many. It is a frustration of mine as I have friends with real needs that their service animals mitigate for them and I know of others with the fake online registry crap.  I call them out on the fakes.

There are several places that do certify their dogs.  Those aren't cheap dogs due to the specialized training.  It is also possible for an person who is functioning with a disability being able to train their own dog, for their specific needs (I know of several teams).

I am curious are there that many who use the minis, for service animals? I know they are allowed just don't see them often or in my case ever have seen.

I wish there were good solutions regarding all the ES dogs and fake SD. It is a real hinderance for those who have a true need and a working partner.

I try to the best of my ability in enlightening others, with all the misconceptions.

I feel sorry for the airlines trying to accomodate people and their "service" animals.  While there are people who legitamately need a service animal, there are lots of people that just want to take their pet on the plane.  No one wants to sit next to someones pet for several hours.
