| With the new incentives like Pink Buckle and Blue Collar, are some of the others becoming irrelevant? Thoughts?

| No. In fact is its growing in popularity our area as more and more races up here are becoming FF.

Location: Oakdale, CA | i just paid my weanling into FF. I am debating on pink buckle......... I have until Oct. 1st. Whats everyones thoughts on pink buckle. at least FF is closer to the west coast where I live. I don't think I would make it to a pink buckle race but I thought it would make my filly more marketable...................

I still think FF is a great program. But it is what it is..more numbers less chance at winning. |

| I donβt think so! Itβs exciting there are more FF races up north here this year! Itβs the only incentive Iβll pay my foals in. Anything else there isnβt races up here that make it worth paying into. Is Mare Power still even going? Lol |

| Why would that make a difference? Itβs a βsidepotβ for the rest of your horses life. |

I care from a stallion owners side. As long as people are wanting it and paying into it, the stallion owners are happy. |

 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | I really like future fortunes - definitely adds value to a foal (imo). I like that there are several events, payoffs for open horses. I've only been to 2 of them this year - I really don't haul much..........but I've won $800 from the program on my 8 yo mare this year! I love that it continues to pay all across the country after the futurity year is over. Pink buckle - way too much $$ for this girl. |

The more numbers, the more races have FF payouts.... just goes to expand the program. |

| LIVE2RUN - 2018-09-19 12:59 PM What exactly is the Pink Buckle?
I understand it to be an incentive program which includes 40 stallions.Β Only those 40 stallions and thier progeny can run at the pink buckle race which will give away $1m the first year and potential more in the following years.Β The $1M is funded by the 40 stallion owners at $25k each.Β Β The same structure was done in the Halter industry.Β I don't know if it still exists in the halter industry.Β Β Time will tell how successful it is in the barrel industry.Β My guess is it will be good since this industry is made up primarily by a bunch of alcoholics spending other peoples money in exchange for love.Β Β (I added this part just to get the board fired up, though there is a little bit of truth to it.)Β Β

| I am pretty illiterate with the incentives but I have had several friends tell me it is important their horses are FF so up north it is still important. |

| I won't buy one that isn't in it. I've made some great money at a couple of shows where it was added! |

Location: Texas | I don't think its becoming irrelevant because what FF has that the others don't is the opportunity to be eligible for money at multiple races within the same year. BCBI and PB are great if you go to the one event a year they hold.
I will say I am excited that I have two foals that are BCBI eligible and one on the way that will be both PB and BCBI. And I do plan on paying the PB eligible foal in when its born. And I'll continue to do FF. The other incentives, likely no, because I don't see them too much where I can except for Triple Crown on occasion. |

Agreed. Hard to sell breedings to stallions or prospects that aren't FF eligible anymore. |
