Elite Veteran Posts: 1062 Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race!	I need to buy a waterer for one horse stall. I have 4 other horses that share a big stainless trough. I don’t need one that is heated... are they all pretty much the same? Can’t afford $400 for Ritchie...thank you!

My ex husband was the regional rep for Ritchie here and I learned a lot about them. Unless other ones have advanced, I'd never buy anything but Ritchie. Hell, that waterer was the best thing he bright to the marriage!

Married to a Louie Lover Posts: 3303	We have a total of 5 mirafounts on the property between horse runs and cattle pastures. The oldest have been in for 4 or 5 years and the newest for 2. All have electrical run to them for heat, but you don’t have to buy the heater unit. Granted, we haven’t had them for decades, but we’ve had zero issues for what it’s worth.

We do put a tank heater in them when it gets into the teens.
