6 lg. Russet potatoes {Peeled and cut into 1/2 cubes}
3Β  14oz. cans chicken broth
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1c. whipping cream
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
1c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 bag real bacon bitsΒ

Combine first six ingredients in a 5 quart slow cooker, cover and cook on high for four hours or on low for eight hours {or untill potatoes are tender}, mash mixture untill potatoes are coarsely chopped and soup is lightly thickened: stir in creamcheese. Top with sour cream, if desired, and sprinkel with bacon bits and more cheddar cheese befor serving.Β

I had a few mins to spare so thought I would go ahead and post this for you Spencer,, happy cooking, just wanted to say the 2 and a half tsp. of salt sure seems to be alot I think I would use less, maybe?Β

There's an easier one that has been on here:

1 bag of frozen hash browns
2 cans chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup

Put all that in the crock pot and cook all day

Last half hour, add a block of cream cheese.

Serve when all cream cheese is mixed in.

Think there's supposed to be bacon and onions in it too.

This!!! But you have to add crispy bacon before you serve it. That is an absolute must!!!
