Location: Montana | So, what has the time frame been recently to get papers back from AQHA when transferring them? I used to do the rush transfer so papers wouldn't be sitting there for months, and now the rush transfer is $100 more...grrr. |

| Got my regular transfer back in 2 weeks. Took 7 days with rush transfer. Not worth the extra $$ IMO unless you are going to do overnight also. |

Location: Montana | Thanks very much! Just curious...2 weeks isn't bad. Want to get him enrolled in a futurity incentive before the end of the year since they have a special going on and need it back in time! |

However, AQHA is kinda on my "list" at the moment for losing a second check that was in the same envelope as the afore mentioned transfer... |

I do paperwork as part of my job...title transfers, etc...so I'm super picky about paperwork and super careful, its too hard to fix if there are issues! So I get what you are saying. |

I'll create another post about my new little colt, LOL, but I just got him and papers yesterday, planning on sending them in today, I always send mine in right away too. But wanted to make sure AQHA was doing better about their transfers than they used to. I had heard stories of 6 month waits a year or two ago. |

Yep get them in today if you can, always seems like the closer to the end of the year it does take longer to get them back, but I always seems to buy a horse during the middle of the year and always got them back fast and have never payed for a rush fee. And congrats on your new fella |

Location: down south | I was pleasantly surprised when mine were returned to me in a little over a week. I did take them to the PO and paid extra for tracking and 1st class. This was in July |

Yep...after they screwed up our lease and the payment twice, I'm going to register our baby in person at the world show. |

| I usually wait and do all my AQHA related stuff when a rep is set up at a show, sale, barrel race, etc.
AQHA has made too many errors on paperwork in the past that I don't send them anything anymore. I wait and do any and all paperwork where I can double check it on the spot. |

Location: South Georgia | I had to request a duplicate copy and do two transfers when I sent mine in. I didn't know this, but they encouraged me to scan and email everything to them. I think this was the secret to making it much faster! I had my new papers transferred into my name and back in my hands within 2 weeks from start to finish. |

Location: Montana | Thanks all...didn't get them in the mail today because I couldn't get out of work in time, so tomorrow it is. But I'm sending them certified/return receipt just like if it was a title to a car so I know they get them! I am so paranoid about paperwork, it isn't funny, LOL. |

Just make a copy of them so just in case something does go wrong..Better to be on the safe side. |
