| I bought a mare who has a light case of EPM. She needs treatment (of course), I've talked to a few vets and people who have dealt with EPM. There are so many options.
I would really like to go a natural route, but will consider anything that really works!
I want to knock this out of the park and start repairing her.
(she only drags her toes)
thanks! |

In early stages I’ve used Eclipse’ PM with good success. It has Vitamin E, Lyisne, Magnesium, probiotics and other ingredients to boost their immune system. It also contains Cinchona Bark Extract, which is used to treat malaria in humans. Malaria, like EPM, is caused by a protozoa.
Dragging toes doesn’t always means it’s EPM. Could be sore hock/stifles.

| Yes! I agree, we are going to explore all areas and do some chiro work along with checking SI, hocks, stifles, and make sure her feet are 100% right/balanced.
The vet implied that it is most likely a stress/imbalance EPM not full blown EPM.
I would like to treat her anyways, esp if I can do a natural treatment it can't hurt her; and will rule out any questions in that area. Guess it's more of a peace of mind for myself. |

I recently saw someone recommending 2 TBS of the straight Decoxx.
There are different stengths ranging from 1/2% to 6%.
There is no set dosage. I’ve heard anywhere from 2 teaspoons to 2 tablespoons.
Most of all, I’ve never seen it work on its own. It needs Levamisole and Vitamin E in proper amounts to be effective . |

| There are two really good EPM groups on Facebook you might want to check out. It's like a support and learning group for people with EPM horses.
