I have an older one, built on a tree they don't use anymore, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I'd have another Tod Slone anyday! My best friend has a newer one and it's really nice saddle. I will say, my older one is significantly heavier. I spoke with Tod about my saddle and mentioned that to him and he said they have had to reduce the weight on them to keep barrel racers happy. But it's still a great quality saddle!

I know this is an older thread but I love my Todd Slone. Before I bought it I was told they were heavy for barrel saddles but I weighed it compared to my other barrel saddle
(reinsman
) and it weighed the same. Was a little heavier than my Rockin R but not noticeable. I don't know what tree it is built on but fits my horse better than other saddles I had on her. Very well built and their customer service is wonderful. The stirrups are too long and cannot be made shorter for my legs so they were willing to make shorter fenders to match the saddle for me. All it took was the saddle serial number and a phone call.

Mine is for sale because it was just too heavy for me to throw on a tall horse. Probably the best made saddle I have ever owned.

My daughter won a saddle certificate and we took the horse to the saddle shop. They went through all the trees to find the best fit then my daughter went to picking out details. WE love her saddle. :
) I often run two horses and will use her saddle every chance I get. I have a Tesky's which I love but I also like the feel of the Sloan. The seat feels good, the ride and run feels good in it, the weight of it feels good
(much lighter than my Tesky's
). My daughter and I are the same size so this works in my favor. The saddle is 3 years old and is solid.
