| This was the first year in a few years that I had closely followed the NFR - and I loved EVERY second of it. I didn't just love watching the rodeo itself, but I also loved hearing about the stories behind the rodeo. From Tammy Fischer leading Taci Bettis into the alleyway to Tracy Nowlin dealing with health issues, it was a phenomenal way to close off 2018.
To summarize some of what happened and some of the realizations I had during the ten days, I recently published a post on my blog all about it. I don't know if it will be of any interest to anyone to read, but here is the link nonetheless.

| Great read! I had a lot of the same thoughts. This years NFR had some really neat behind the scenes stories to go with it! I loved watching Haileyβs Mom do her jumping heel click whenever she made a smoking run. Too bad we have to wait a whole year to do it again! |

That picture of Hailey's mom clicking her heels was priceless! I can't imagine the excitement she felt every night that they were there!
It's such an incredible rodeo. Hopefully next year the coverage will be a bit better. I live in Canada and so I was watching the entire thing via YouTube and Facebook videos. |

Location: Too far from home | I so wish they would have included more background on Jessica Routier. She's the mother of 5. Two are middle school aged and three (2 twins and a single) are 3 and under. They are darling and Jessica is just lovely & her relationship with the horse's owner, Gary Westergren is touching. Such a cool story. |

Good job! I just have one correction. Traci's horse is by Royal Blue Chew Chew, not Royal Quick Dash. She is a friend of mine and a fellow competitor when we both made the IFR. I was thrilled to see you devote so much of the blog to her. She and her horse are exceptional. |

I'm going to donate mine as soon as I'm done running him, he'll fit right in. Looks like Black Beauty & has a random bronc streak when strange people ride him |
