| Opinions on running cow bred or cow/ running cross horses. Whats your preference and why? Would you pay more for one that is all running bred? |

I only pay for ones that are winning. I don't care how they are bred.
I would run a paint if they weren't so slow

typically I don't buy foals. I raise several every year. But I guess if I was to buy the same mentality would used.
If the sire and dam were winners I really wouldn't care what disipline they were orginally bred for.
If they were not winners I wouldn't buy the foal no matter |

| I am a HUGE fan of the run/cow cross. All of our mares are either running bred QHs or TBs off the track, and we have bred them to cow bred stallions. I would pay more for one that is exactly what I was looking for, whether it be bloodlines, money earner, producer, etc. I wouldnβt pay more specifically for a horse just because theyβre running bred, there are a lot more factors involved for me personally. |

| Love my running/ cow bred horses. Easy to train & smart & athletic. I cross Driftwood mares on proven barrel racing stallions. They are a fun ride. This is my guy & NO he is not for sale. No amount of money could buy him from me.

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I'll have one this spring out of the mare I bought. Mare is Ivory James x dam by First Down Dash 2nd dam by Corona Cartel. Covering sire is a son of King Freckles Dun It by Hollywood Dun It. Not really something I would have crossed. I prefer all run or bred back to winning/siring barrel sires but this same cross produced a fancy buckskin filly that sure catches my eye. There are a lot of people that prefer the cow/run

Location: Montana | I have a Playgun x Easy Jet I LOVE. He is the nicest riding horse, and he's fast and athletic and good minded...a little spooky on occasion, but overall a nice horse. I really like him and would have more like him if I could find them! |

| I am also a big fan of the run/cow cross. I ran a mare with an OTTB dam by a Docs Prescription stallion and she was crazy athletic. About 15.1 with a huge stride but quick and agile. She was cool. my mare is a sunfrost x driftwood and I would love to cross her on a DTF someday. |

Location: LouLouVille, OK | I don't like all run bred... so you throw something with some cowy or ranchy bloodlines in there, that is what I tend to like best. So with that said if I liked the horse and liked what I seen on the papers.. I would buy a foal in a heartbeat. I tend also to look at the horse more then the papers, after all their confirmation means more to me then any name on a paper. (But there are a few names if I see on papers I will stay away from lol) |

| I ride whatever is at my disposal at my house which is mostly cow horses. I love cow ponies personally but when looking at barrel prospects there are certain names I like to see on the papers. Some are: Docs Sylish Oak Highbrow Cat SR Instant Choice (sired a BFA world champ (2017) Doc O Lena Driftwood Ike Shining Spark Lena Spark
I finally have some running/barrel blood in the mix with some colts coming up. Cachaca Flit x Reds Western Native dtr Fiestas Gotta Gun x Dash For Perks dtr Stolis Cowboy x nice hancock bred heel horse
WE SHALL SEE :)
