A girl near me has an all roughout one. The seat and overall look reminds me of a Jeff Smith. I'd be skeptical of the quality because it is Circle Y. I used to have a Marlene Special EFFX made by Circle Y and it had great craftsmanship, really, but the leather quality is nothing compared to the Pozzi I have now. It was a nice saddle too though.

Not sure about the quality of the HTW ones.

I have worked with Felicia at Horse tack world for years and she is a good friend of mine. I was just discussing these saddles with her. The saddles are made on the Reinsman side and stamped Circle Y. The saddles have excellent leather and are a very nice, well made saddle. I don't ride this saddle, but anytime I have a saddle fit issue she has never steered me wrong and I end up with a saddle that fits my horses perfectly. Just so happens that both my horses right now use Reinsman CJ wide trees. Both saddles I got from her and leather quality is excellent and I have been super happy.

I recently purchased one and so far I love it. It rides very well. I only ride in Caldwell saddles and can say that as of right now I would not have a problem buying another one of these saddles. (I ventured out on this one for a hard to fit mare hoping I wouldn't regret it. So far, so good.)

A fellow racer bought one and I saw it at our State show.  It looked nice enough, but I didn't get a chance to ask her to try it on my horse or maybe try it out.  Kicking myself now.
Felicia is wonderful to work with though and is very willing to answer questions and address concerns.

I've never purchased from Felicia but I have talked to her several times about saddles.
She has always been very friendly and very helpful!
I wouldn't hesitate to do business with her, and was fully planning on it last year but the right used saddle came up for sale elsewhere.

She can explain it to you way better than I can. I have to say I was skeptical but really needed to find a fit for my horse. This one so far rides so similar to my Caldwell that I would not hesitate to purchase another and like you said the weight is so much lighter. I have had this saddle only a few months and so far I am completely satisfied. If you contact her she is so easy to speak with and very helpful.

I thought Circle Y made these saddles and they were tooled on the Reinsman side? I could swear that is how she told me...….. If made on Reinsman side I would have never purchased...…...I do love my saddle though I bought from her.

Please don’t quote me. Lol I called Felicia when I saw this thread and asked her to chime in and answer questions. She gave me some basic information and i came here and posted. I may have gotten them backwards. Lol. Contact her directly for clarification. Personally i bought 2 reinsman CJ saddles from her and absolutely love both.

I inquired on a flex tree from Felicia..as I ride in a Caldwell now. I don't understand why there's a "break in" period though. She told me it could take 20+ rides for a new one to be broke in? I love how my caldwell brand new fit my one horse, no break in period

I have the flex tree one and I LOVE it! I can't get over how it rides. I ride a short fat and a tall skinny and it fits both! I can't wait to order another!

Was there a break in period for yours? Can you explain if so please?

I'm not familiar with the Kelly K saddles either. I guess I could just ask Felicia why this break in period is needed and better explain it..I'm just hesitant to try one without knowing anyone around me that has been riding in one.

Β  both the horse tack world, kelly kaminski and Martha josey revolution all have the same flex2 tree. Lisa lockharts old saddle by circle y has a flex2 tree that is a wider version with more bar angle. So I assume she means any flex2 treed saddle needs to to be broken in? I have no clue tho lol

I was also told by her that the kk flex tree had a break in period (after it didn’t fit my horse that she fitted for it). I googled it and came up with nothing, so I called Circle Y directly. Someone there told me that there was no break in period - a saddle should fit a horse immediately. So I returned mine....

I'm no expert on flex trees, but know some about treeless.  I assume they are similar in that the leather is a bit stiff and will settle into the shape of the horse with the Flex part of the tree.
I'm not a fan of flex trees myself...I'd rather ride treeless or treed. No inbetween.
