Anyone feed soy bean meal?  Ive been reading different things about it.  Im not feeding it just curious bout others?  I know that it is a cheap protein source and that lots of feed and supplements have soy bean but Im not sure if it is the meal or oil or what.

Years ago we fed it all the time and it worked fine, you can't really avoid it now as it is in nearly every feed out there. I stopped feeding it for a few reasons after some issues we had with other things and I have one horse on the place who is actually sensitie to soy and even the smallest amount will make her an idiot. So I don't have it around . I make all my own feed now since I was haing trouble finding feed that was soy free.

Same^
It is good for the amino acids and most horses tolerate it just fine. There has to always be exceptions though. Mine can handle soy flour but not soy meal.  Got a small bag to try, and don't pour it to them. It's got a lot of protein in it.
